To start, this is either a newly formulated beer by the same name or it was never a happoshu in the first place. I'm guessing the former as even the brewer is calling this an IPA with a new abv of 6.5%. My review (for an American IPA:
Lasting moderate head. Wide streaks left on the glass throughout the tasting. The liquid is light brown and murky.
The smell has a good pale malt base blended with floral/bitter hop smell.
Relatively thin with a higher carbonation level. The malt is more toasted than the smell indicates. Dry. The hop is indirectly bitter meaning it catches up in the swallow before showing its bitterness. Medium aftertaste.

Well, you gotta a least love the name of this beer: "Japanese pants ale"
Ingredients: Malt extract, barely syrop, hops
A - Cloudy brown/orange body with a half an inch of head.
S - Extremely perfuny fecal aroma.
T - Harshy husky flavor with a caramel finish.
M - Overly carbonated and thin.
D - This crud is just best to be avoided.
