Peaks lists this as an imperial red ale. It was the last remaining Peaks beer available from their old brewing system when I visited. The new system is not yet operative and no other Peaks beers were available as of July 2006.
Served in an 8-ounce glass, this 10% ABV red ale lacked luster and may have aged under unfavorable circumstances for several months prior to serving. It showed an eclipsed head on a body of tarnished brass with no aroma or any significant hop presence. The peculiar yeasted tang was distracting.
