Another red, though this one is not an imperial and cant be confused with Eds Red. Its actually a tawny-russet color with strong, simmering carbonation keeping a fair dollop of foam afloat. The aroma wanders through a range of accents including sugar, vanilla-oak and yeast-meat with a few wayward phenols. The taste speaks of light sugary sweetness, restrained English bittering, and low attenuation. Theres also a corkscrew finish that grows more intrusive as the beer warms, making Tailgate a bit more enjoyable when cold.
