Poured into a Dogfish Head pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy red caramel amber with a thin light tan head that dissipates to a thin film and ring around the glass. Great aroma of caramel and bready malt, butterscotch, dark fruit. Robust flavor of bready and biscuit malt, piney and mild citrus hops. Finishes with a little hop kick leaving a long lasting hop and malt aftertaste. Medium bodied. A nice combination of flavors, leaning distinctly towards the malt, almost crossing over into old ale territory. I'm a fan of big malt, and this one hit the spot.
