22oz into a tulip. Pours a deep coppery amber w/ a 1-finger head. My first impression? Pretty dark for a pale ale...
Aroma is floral/herbal NW hops and a hint of musty basement. Pretty muted.
Taste is a pretty nice blend of pale and caramel malts and aromatic hops, just a touch of citrus. This is a pretty tame brew, balanced and moderate. Not bad by any means, just a little dull.
Mouthfeel is likewise balanced, medium bodied with a crisp finish.
Overall an OK beer but nothing all that exciting.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a ruddy brown amber with a thin off-white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of bready, slightly caramel malt and grassy hops with some spiciness in the background. Flavor follows aroma with mild bready and biscuit malt with light grassy hops. Finishes with spicy malt and a memory of the hops. Medium bodied. Kind of dark for a pale ale, but clearly intended to be one, leans a bit closer in profile to an English bitter. Enjoyable as a light, mellow, malty ale in any case. Perfect for my lunch.
