Funk-n-Delicious Bleuet is a blonde ale, spontaneously fermented with wild airborne yeast. It is then transferred into Gwerztremainer barrels for a secondary fermentation, of which Brettanomyces is the majority. This "Brett" gives the beer its distinct "funky" characteristic. Once the "Velo de Flor"of yeast drops into suspension, it is transferred into Johannesburg Riesling barrels with fresh blueberries to age, until the desired balance of "funk" fruit and filigree is achieved.

Bottle shared at Pre-Borefts Ratebeer Tasting 2016. Hazy orange pour with a white head. Notes of bitter perfume, blueberries, light sour fruit. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle.

A: Moderate blueberry, funk, followed by a strange almost sanitized aroma, vinous with moderate sourness.

A: Bright gold color, clear with a very thin uneven white head that quickly dissipates. There is very light lacing in the glass.

T: Moderate blueberry flavor upfront, slightly tart and sweet. Funky, There is a vinous quality and moderate sourness that lingers through the finish.

M: Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. The beer is sour, but not acidic.

O: Alright; the aroma is not very pleasant, because of a strange off aroma. However, the beer drinks better than it smells and there is some interesting blueberry character ( slightly sweet and tart) offset by a vinous quality.

750 ml (I think, I've mostly tried to block this out) bottle into a tulip glass.

Pours a peach color, with a small, quickly dissipating head, no lacing, no cling. Looks kinda flat. The smell- blueberry, maybe, but not the eatin' kind. Yeast, vinegar, light malt, a little sulfur as it warms. Taste brings lots of vinegar, very acetic, artificial blueberry, malt. A bit harsh, could use more carbonation.

I don't enjoy writing reviews like this, we all have so much good stuff to choose from. Other people seemed to like this, I would not recommend a purchase. It's not cheap, either.

Holy artificial blueberry batman! This pours a very normal blonde with slight red/fleshy tint. The smell is straight betty crocker pre-mixed blueberry muffins and blue raspberry/blueberry candy. The taste is very blueberry-y, but again it tastes more artificial than natural. The sourness is extremely strong and coupled with the carbonation tries to burn a hole through your throat with every swallow. I quite enjoyed the Daliesque sour from these guys but this one was no where near as successful for me.

Thanks to Thomas for sharing this one!

Lol, homers gonna homer. This brewery has plenty of them apparently.
This beverage smells like Boo Berry cereal, and tastes like blue raspberry sweet tarts and vinegar. Nothing funky or traditional about it, it's hilarious they even put "Payottenland" on the label. Just wtf...

Hazy golden orange, no foam or lacing. Smells like artificial blueberry cereal.
Tastes like sweet tarts candy, stomach acid, and blue raspberry vitamins.
Thin and acidic, heavy acetic acid gets the stomach churning. Zero finesse.

This beer is a joke, a ham fisted attempt at a "lambic-style wild ale” that just further proves some breweries have no idea what they're doing at all.

Extreme intense blueberry aroma upon cracking bottle with the blue wax top. Fairly carbonated very tart and funky goat hay yard and barn flavors add a wonderful balance and dimension to this brew.
