Picked up two bottles at the brewery Dec 2015 and a new bottle with their new label in 2024. In 2015, it was their first new batch of their bock in several years. Pours golden amber into the mug with a small white head which slowly reduces to a nice ring and lacing. Easy to drink Bockbier from their newly refurbished facility .

Sampled on tap at the brewpub in Bamberg, Nov. 2004.
This bockbier poured a clear, dark amber color with creamy, tall, tan foam that settled. The smell was not very strong, but was malty. The taste was malty with faint Munich malt flavor. The finish was lightly hoppy. The mouthfeel was smooth with medium body and moderate carbonation. The flavor did not linger long. This was an easy to drink bockbier, but it was a bit thin on flavor compared to other Bamberg bockbiers.
