Served on-draught into a .3L glass at Greifenklau in June 2011. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a three finger head of slight cream, fair thickness, and above average retention. Colour is a hazy cloudy orange wheat. Appealing.
Sm: Very light aroma of delicate floral notes. That's it.
T: Flowers, wheat, citrus esters - especially grapefruit, and light cream. Very full-bodied and complex for a hefeweizen. This brewery seems to do well at adding complexity to otherwise simple styles. Balanced and multifaceted. Very pleasant to drink and refreshing. Surpassed me expectations. That said, it's still somewhat boring. Far from the best hefeweizen I've had.
Mf: Lumpy and a bit too thick. Luckily it isn't syrupy. Doesn't quite match the flavours of the body.
Dr: Very affordable and drinkable. Full-bodied yet refreshing.

Sampled at the brewpub in Bamberg, Nov. 2004.
This hefeweizen poured a cloudy, golden color with tall, white foam that settled. The smell was a pleasing light banana and citrus aroma with some notes of wheat malt and yeast. The taste was lightly fruity (banana and citrus) and tangy with some wheat maltiness and yeast flavors as well. The mouthfeel was smooth and tangy with medium body and good carbonation. The tangy citrus and banana esters lingered on the palate. This was a good, enjoyable hefeweizen.
