First had: on tap at GG Brewers, Glenside, PA

Very nice stout. Poured black with little to no head. Coffee and brown sugar on the nose. Mild coffee tones, and just the right amount of malty sweetness in the taste. A little on the thin side, but smooth and drinkable, though I probably wouldn't get more than one glass.

A-Deep, dark black with a light touch of deep ruby highlights. A thin head tan head dissipates to a thin wisp of foam and leaves spotty lace.

S-Light roast, a touch of coffee and then...SWEET!

T-This is simple....SWEET! I think I detect the slightest hint of roasted malt, oatmeal and coffee but then BAM! the sweetness takes hold again and squashes those dreams!

M-Medium bodied and seems OK but then you realize it should have more beef and body. decent but leaves you wanting more.

D-WAY too sweet for me. This one tastes under attenuated and unfinished. Not sure what the goal is with this one but it doesn't score with me.

This beer came a dark black with a bit of prune creeping in along the edges of my glass. The head was just a sparse film of creamy tan.

Smells of oatmeal, cream and coffee with an ominous sweetness to it. There's a nice sticky barley here to with a touch of an astringent alcohol.

Tastes really sweet, but smooth. IT starts with oats and cream again nestled on top of a roasted barely that has a slight sour turn to it. As I expected the flavor to come on strong and then leave me with a light coffee, it just kept coming on sweet.

Feels heavy, dense and a little sticky.

A little sweet and heavy, but tasty.
