Erstes Pschennichnoye

Sampled at the brewpub on 4/4/06. Comes out a very cloudy slightly orange gold under a 1.5 finger pure white head with good retention and very creamy consistency, generating nice sheets of lace. The nose is malty, without spice or lemon, or even wheat. The mouth is quite heavy and mildly carbonated. The taste is heavy on bready malt, but lacks on spice and wheat. There's just enough here to know they tried. But they failed to capture the style.
