This is our first review not sure why we need to be so wordy to get our message across with the beer. We wanted to review the beer not compose a novel.

All of this writing is taking time away from me enjoying another beer...one less review...hey mister!!!! hands off my beer!!!

We enjoyed this at Wasatch brew pub Park City Utah on cask in a 12 ounce pilsner glass.

Apperance - unfilteted golden wheat

Smell - very nice citrus aroma.

Taste - creamy floral citrus hop flavor

Mouthfeel - smooth & creamy

Drinkability - nice drinkable beer

A: Evenly cloudy ruddy copper/amber color. Poured a 2 finger tan head with good retention, Thick, clinging lacing.

S: Flavoring hops and light, sweet malts. Some spicy yeast notes in the background.

T: Roasted crystal malts for a pleasing caramel flavor. Toasted malts for a big malt backbone. Bitter finish didn't seem quite strong enough to balance. I may have been expecting more (I also think it was the last beer out of the cask).

M: Medium body. Little carbonation; almost flat. Very smooth

D: Interesting flavors that improved, along with the aroma, as the beer warmed a bit. Coupled with moderate abv, very drinkable.

Had this a while back on a visit to Park City. I wasn't so impressed with the Wasatch Brew Pub, but this little cask-conditioned ale wasn't bad at all.

Served in a 20oz barrel mug, which I thought was a nice touch, if not exactly suited to the style. Brought by the waiter, the Hopilicious was a cloudy, yellow/goldish color. Nice bright white head with good lace. The nose was piney, with lots of fresh smelling citrus. A natural, even and smooth aroma. Hoppy, but not overly so. The taste kind of stumbled a bit, in my opinion. It was dense and hoppy, but provided no malty sweetness at all to balance things out. Delivered a funky, musty aftertaste. A muted flavor all around, though. Mouthfeel was smooth, but lighter than expected. Subtle and easy-going, like a good cask ale should be.

On the whole, it wasn't a bad beer. Above average marks for the most part, and totally drinkable. I would probably not go back too often for seconds, until I gave the rest of the lineup a go, however, but it is worth checking out if you're in Park City.

Pours a cloudy golden amber color, some carbonation, huge creamy tan head, tons of sticky lacing afterwards. Scents of hops, sweet malts, slight yeast, and caramel. The taste was absoultely delicious of malts, hops, and a nice touch of caramel, nice clean bitter finish. Medium body. Very drinkable, highly recommend.
