12oz can at share. Dark brown pour, almost clear, small off-white foamy head. Aroma is malty and sweet, light wine notes. Taste is malty, molasses, light roast, barrel and more red wine

Ommegang snifter

Has a ruddy red color bordering on mahogany with some purple hints, and a sawdust colored head of 1/2 finger, receding to a thin ring, slight alcohol legs.

Aroma of alcohol, caramel, rubber, caramel malt, rye, plum/raisin, fig, and slight wet pinot barrel.

Flavor is grape sucker, raisin, a little caramel, stiff oak, light-colored brown sugar, some citrus peel, and musty cheap dark box wine. All of this with a shot of cooler jug water. It lacks depth but all the flavor is on the surface. Drinkable but not as complex as I'd figured it'd be.

Feel is a bit thinned out by the barrel but still retains stickiness and some pleasant oaky dryness. Slight resins. It finishes like a raisin.

Overall, a little underwhelming but still a fair to decent barrel aged beer. Probably wouldn't revisit but I was glad to have it this first time.
