Picked up a bottle from the state liquor store (because as you may or may not be aware, any beer over 4% has to be sold through state liquor stores in Utah) when the circus traveled through Salt Lake City. The bottle I purchased has a born date of 3/29/13. Today is 10/1/13, so it's possible that my review of this beer will be tainted by age.
A - Poured with a finger and a half of white head that lasted a while as well as left a thick lacing on the glass. Color is a bright gold, but the beer is quite hazy, almost the same clarity as the average IPA.
S - Hello Saaz hops, what most people refer to as "cat urine" was strong. There was a slight malty note, but the aroma was pretty much dead on for style.
T - Taste was far weaker and far more watery than the aroma let me to believe, the malt was actually a stronger part of the flavor than the hops. The aftertaste was very weak and rather watery. This would be a decent summer beer if your goal was refreshing and minimal taste.
M - Light and watery, smooth with very little aftertaste.
Overall - There are better Czech pilsners out there, not sad I bought it to try, but I think if I had a six pack of this in 90+ degree weather, the saaz taste would be overwhelming and I'd just be looking for a different flavor after the first couple.

Wasatch Summerbrau has a thick, stark-white head, and a hazy, golden, bubbly appearance, with some lacing left behind. The aroma is of mild sweetness, bread, sugar, and lightly-roasted malts, and the flavor is of sweet, lemony, sugary, light malt, a bit of mild hops, and a touch of sourness. Mouthfeel is medium and soft, and Wasatch Summerbrau finishes dry, refreshing, and highly drinkable. Overall, this is a very good beer.

12 oz bottle pours an uber-light yellow color - I was shocked as I was watching it escape from the top of the bottle "holy shit! Is this clear"?! Does have some nice, sticky white head that forms some good lace and clarity is fantastic.
Nose is fairly on point for a pils - grassy hops, slight sulfurous lager yeast, honeyed grains. Dont see anything wrong with this so far.
Taste is decent, but I think it should be a little hoppier for a pils, this one is more helles lager with its sweet, grainy malt at the forefront. Decent hop bitterness on it, but it still seems to finish a bit on the sweet side. Light yeast presence is a bit distracting, but overall not a bad brew at all. I could drink this no problem...I bought a single and hadnt seen this all summer long - I will look to buy a sixer next year.
