Had this on cask at MacCools in Layton. Holy hell this is a good beer.
A- The agitator tip does this beer justice. Knowing how to pour a cask ale is 9/10ths of the battle. This beer pours with a head that nitro guinness would envy, and it lightly hazy, fresh honey amber tone is just gorgeous.
S- Evidently they use fresh wild hops in this brew- Boy does it come through. The nose is so fresh and, for lack of a better word, green. The strongest smell is that of apricot and citrus. There's a bready malt presence that makes a cameo, but only just.
T- Sweet baby Jesus. This is one fine beer. The fruity, sweet citrus comes through strong, but the malty base supports as a hell of a foundation. Absolutely delicious.
M- Just a titch on the watery side, but I don't have a ton of cask experience. It could just be unique to the style. Nevertheless, the fine head makes for a velvety soft opening.
D- I want to become a fish. And spend the rest of my life swimming in this beer.
