Pours a nice brown with visibility part way into the beer.
Nice, somewhat sweet smell.
Good medium bodied mouth feel.
This is a weird beer to review. A typical Scottish Ale that by all rights should taste great, but the flavor seems muddled. It's one of those beers that has all of the individual flavors, but just one of those things that you can't put your finger on. If I hadn't had so many other Squatters beers I would say it was the water, since it has that sort-of thick mineral-esque quality and flavor. Not a bad beer, but there are many better Scottish Ales.
