Appearance: Light copper/cherrywood, the head was thick like styrofoam and quite large, so much so that I king of got short-changed quantity-wise because of it.
Smell: Roasted notes, hops are mild and somewhat fruity, but what really comes through are the coffee grinds, quite unusual for this style, at first I thought that maybe they switched kegs from a stout to this one and didn't flush out the beer line correctly, but after a brief chat with the brewer it turns out it wasn't the case. Interesting...
Taste: A bit of wet cereal, mini wheats I would say. Bitterness is weak at first but gradually build a bit of steam along the sides of my palate to give a slightly dry finish, but without any real hoppy definition to it. Body was a bit too watery for my taste, I like my session ales with a bit more backbone.
