Purchased and sampled in the beer's home town, the brown 1/2 liter bottle features a black, brown and gold label with the brewery's coast of arms above, the name "Rosa" below (with the R forming the handle of a mug). No ingredient information.
Pours clear gold under a one finger white head that settles quickly to thick foam and collar, but then lingers well and leaves some nice lace strings. Nice raw grain nose, perhaps with bran? Very prickly and slightly syrupy mouth. Fairly sweet malt opening, more bread than fruit. Not much hops here, even well into the finish. It's drinkable, particularly for malt mavens, but it is a bit one-sided.
