Purchased and sampled in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, this brown half liter bottle sports a tapered neck covered in foil and a blue, white and silver label with an eagle soaring in front of the Tian-Shan mountains. Sugar is an ingredient.
Pours a clear medium gold under a 1/2 finger white head that fades quickly to film and collar, leaving no lace. The nose features floral hops and a hint of rust. The mouth is light and very prickly. Pretty unremarkable taste here, weak on malt, mild with the hops. Slightly sweet opening followed by a vaguely bitter finish. The aftertaste is slightly dry. Yawn.
