Purchased and sampled in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, this brown ½ liter bottle has a brown and gold label with an eagle soaring in front of the (Tian Shan) mountains of southern and eastern Kazakhstan. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 5/19/06, I opened it on 4/8/06.
Pours a clear standard gold under a two finger white head that fades slowly and shows a bit of contour and significant stickiness that somehow nevertheless manages to leave no lace. The nose is watery, with a hint of sickly sweetness. The mouth is very prickly and quite light. Very mild flavors here, quite watery in fact. About the only impression is harsh rusty metal bitterness, leaving an unpleasant aftertaste. No thanks.
