Purchased and sampled in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, this brown 1/2 liter bottle features ridges on the neck and a white, red and gold label featuring a D in a red circle above the name, and a hops cluster below. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 7/3/06, I opened it on 4/8/06.
Pours a clear, slightly darker than medium gold under a one finger white head with decent retention and a bit of lace. The nose is slightly sweet and grainy. The mouth is light and well-carbonated. Taste features a sweetish grainy opening of barley apparently absent adjunct. There is very little from the hops side of things - just a touch of dryness well into the aftertaste. This one is unexciting, but acceptable.
