Bottle shared courtesy of Josh. Thanks (I guess!) for this hard to get country. Bottle marked B 21507.
Poured a light and slightly hazy yellow color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of wet grass, corn, and grainy. Tastes follow with a light honey sweetness. Not overly offense but did not make sexy time in my mouth.

Purchased and sampled in northern Kazakhstan, the brown half liter bottle has a ridged neck and a white and red label featuring a crown and 1921 (brewery's foundation?) above the name. Ingredients conform to the purity law. "Alma Ata" is the former name of the former capital of Kazakhstan. Rather like Rio de Janeiro vis-a-vis Brasilia, (now) Almaty is a much nicer place than the new capital of Astana. (I digress.)
Pours a clear light gold under a one finger white head that fades very quickly. There's a mild hoppy nose, slightly metallic and slightly skunked, but somehow pleasant. The mouth is light and quite prickly. The taste is light and watery, lacking in malt. A fairly pleasant hops floral bitter follows, but it is also very mild. Clean water-like aftertaste follows that. There is a bit of grain here, but the overall impression is thin.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
