Purchased and sampled in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, this brown ½ liter bottle displays a silver, red and white label featuring a D in a red circle above the name, which is in English, and a hop cluster below. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 6/15/06, I opened it on 4/8/06.
Pours a clear standard gold under a short-lived one finger white head that leaves no traces soon after the pour. The nose is mild of malt, with a hint of metallic hops. The mouth is light and very prickly. The opening is bread-like malt, fresh and crisp. This is followed by a pretty distinctive floral hop follow-through that leaves a pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Quite acceptable.
