Got this one as a freebee from the wine store down the road. Cheers!
From a 50cl bottle into a pint glass.
14*P
EBU: 77
EBU: 13
APPEARANCE: Pours a two finger, medium looking, fluffy and slightly foamy white head with great retention. Hazy, cloudy amber orange with no carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a full cap and clings to the glass. A splotchy wisp remains leaving some decent lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Pale malts, caramel malts, honey, melon and notes of lemon on the nose. Bold enough and comes out more as it warms.
TASTE: Plenty flavorful up front with pale and caramel malts, honeydew melon and notes of lemon flavors up front. More flavor after the swallow with a bold and lingering finish of sweet caramel, lemon and lime flavors, melon, grassy notes and some nice piney bitterness. Well balanced and plenty flavorful. Refreshing as well.
PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Plenty creamy smooth on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a touch dry. Some bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Really good. The shop owner mentioned that he really liked it and was curious as to what I would think, and I'll definitely give him some positive feedback. Smooth, creamy, well balanced and plenty bold on the nose and palate, this is a beauty. Cheers!
