Sampled at the brewpub on 4/7/06, the beer came out a clear, slightly pale gold under a 2.5 finger white head with great retention and beautiful lace. The nose is strong of malt, with a hint of overripe watermelon. The mouth is light and very prickly. The taste is slightly sour, like bread with lemon juice. A minor floral and metallic bite follows, but it can't overcome the sour lemon. It is drinkable, but not worth seeking out.
