Kross Microbrew Beer (Southern Brewing Company)

Drinking out of a large snifter at the hotel bar in Santiago.
Pours a dark clear mahogany with a medium tan head.
Reasonable mouth feel.
Malt forward. Sweet taste of dark caramel plus molasses.

Great all rounded Ale.
Perfect carbonation great finish

 

 

October 2017: Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. ABV is 7.2%. Mahogany colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and malts. Malty and medium sweet flavour, notes of caramel and dark dried fruits. Nice enough to drink.

On tap in Santiago. Medium brown color with a thin layer of light brown head. Brown sugar aroma. Medium body. Roasted malt flavor with a sweet brown sugar note. Pretty good

 

 

 

On the beach in Cancun! Poured easy, not much head, low carbonation, looked dark amber, smells sweet like rum, raisins, brown sugar, maple syrup, tastes sweet with similar notes to the smell, very tasty if you like sweet like me! Feel was full and laced the tongue well, wrapped it like a Christmas present! It isn’t too overwhelmingly alcoholy although it’s 9.0 ABV... overall I loved it! I’m a fan, would buy a case if I could transport it home!

L. Deep, reddish brown, modest white tightly laced head. Poured from a 330 ml bottle into a pint glass. S. Sweet, toffee, maybe a hint of vanilla and coconut. T. Similar, stronger toffee, maybe some dark fruit and vanilla and coconut, particularly on the finish. F. Smooth, but nothing notable. O. They are still brewing this for anyone interested! Last review was in 2014. Interesting, a touch sweet, but I had to try this. I drank a few Kross beers in Chile on honeymoon in 2016.
