Went for their Oktoberfest celebration. As noted in other reviews, parking can be a little on the tight side. They certainly handled the crowd well and had a system worked out. Taproom looks great, lot of options where to hang out. Service went well, they were able to keep everything flowing smoothly. Good number of beers on tap. Got some great restaurants to come in for the competition.

Parking is a little tight and this brewery tap room was packed on a Wednesday afternoon. Solid to delicious beers on tap, with a something for everyone draft selection. Growlers and crowlers to go, as well as sixers and bombers in the cooler. I wish I could have spent more time drinking here...worthy!

Big warehouse space, with friendly employees and a good tour. Starr Hill makes a few really good beers, and a lot of average ones, but it's always worth stopping by and filling a growler.

Great tasting room. Recently renovated with a nice view of the brewing operations through the glass. Decor is nice and still comfortable.

Service was great. It was early and pretty slow, but the server was willing to chat or just leave you alone as you choose.

Every thing available for a taste including the barrel aged beer. Flights are reasonable at $5.

Merchandise available but not a huge selection.

Edit 12/30/16 Despite a major uptick in the quality of the beers at Starr Hill over the last couple of years and a refurbishing of the tasting room, yesterday marked the third straight crappy experience visiting the brewery. They make you order at one place at the bar for draft, tasters, and take out and each visit it has been a cluster. Yesterday I waited 15 minutes behind a single customer ordering growlers, and a sixtel to go. The one bartender on duty showed no real sense of urgency as the line grew behind me and didn't even acknowledge that I was waiting 15 minutes just to order a draft, Meanwhile two other staffers were ignoring the growing line and were more concerned about why the house stereo system wasn't working. After finally getting my beers with no recognition from the bartender that I waited a ridiculously long period of time, the two dudes finally got the audio system to play Love Shack and Pat Benator's Hit Me with your Best Shot so obviously that was worth the dedicated staff time (sarcasm).

I guess they are busy enough so customer service doesn't matter, but it's pretty bad that I felt the need to document the poor experience, especially since I'm a former bar worker who has a really low bar for acceptable service.

Great new renovations to the tasting room. Incredible beer selection with 16 taps and cool new barrel aged beers are being released. Food truck was good and patio was a nice addition. Love the design in the room but still being able to see the production through the huge windows. Great job Starr Hill!

Fantastic new renovations to the Starr Hill Tap room. Air conditioned experience makes it very pleasant in the hot summer months. They have two awesome bars setup along roll up windows which allows the "inside/outside".

Had a great taco from a local food truck and enjoyed a number of different styles. Staff were great and I would highly recommend. Can't beat the industrial experience in the Crozet/Charlottesville area.

This is a tasting room that also sells pints and merch, and was a great last stop in the area on a Sunday afternoon. $5 will get you six five-ounce samples of whatever they have on draft. Got their regulars (Love, Northern Lights, Dark Star, Pils) as well as a Rauch beer and the seasonal Grateful Pale. Starr Hill makes a very solid lineup of beers and you get a good sense of what they can do. The dry stout is really excellent and worth seeking out.

The staff was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and fun, and added to the experience. Took home some glassware, a t-shirt and a couple of six packs. Spent a nice our there. Definitely worth a stop.
