Note: Brewed 2013-2014, Filled to Bottle 29 SEPT 15, Bottle No.1358
A: Pours a lightly hazy medium to dark mahogany in color with light to moderate amounts of fine visible carbonation slowly rising along the edges of the glass with moderate garnet red highlights. The beer has a quarter finger tall fizzy off-white head that quickly reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering a little more than 75% of the surface of the beer and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to slightly stronger than moderate aromas of tart sour cherries, red wine, and oak.
T: Upfront there is a moderate to strong flavor of tart sour cherries which intensifies as the beer warms up. That is followed by moderate vinous notes, like that of a full bodied robust red wine. Finally there are light to moderate flavors of oak. There is a light to moderate flavor of lingering tart cherries in the finish.
M: Medium bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of acidic prickliness.
O: This beer is really enjoyable and I cannot believe that it flies under the radar - I've seen it sitting on the shelf at several bottle shops in my area. Really great flavors and aromas with just enough complexity. Definitely worth grabbing.

750ml into snifter. Bottled Sept. 2015
L - pours almost flat. No head, bright rose settling to a more vibrant pinkish red
S - Cherries with a touch of funk. Tart, but not overly so
T - Soft cherries with funk, and a touch of astringent tannins from the noticible oak. A bit of pucker on the finish
F - a little flat / under-carbed but not prominently so - there is just enough there to lift the palate, but would have preferred a little more
Overall an extremely tasty beer that is right up there with the better Belgian Krieks - coming up on par with Cantillon and Dre Fonteinen offerings - certainly as good as Oud Beersel and Boon Mariage Krieks. An impressive effort!!

This beer is impeccable. I would want to drink this just about as much as Cantillon Kriek if that says anything. Seriously underrated and unknown stuff right here.

Loads of sour cherries, red wine and oak. Nice simple mouthfeel with a spritz.
As mentioned before this lambic is up there with the best

50ml bottle
From the label:
"Brew date: 2012, Filled to Bottle: Sept 2013., Bottle No. 247, Up to 300g per litre of Derwent Valley grown Sour Cherry, steeped in naturally soured ale & wild fermentation on skins prior to 8 months maturation in oak."
Incredibly subtle cherry and oak flavors, reminiscent of the best of Cantillon.
