Bottle brought purchased from Slow Foods Festival in London.
A_Pours a fairly dark brown, hazy liquid. An off white head foams up a bit at first but settles in as a complete cap. As advertised this is a Real Ale. The yeasty sediment can be seen in the empty bottle.
S_Mild but clean smelling slightly caramelised malts. Minor grass like hop component.
T_The malt gives this a sort a of chocoalte complexity ranging from dark to bakers. This paves the way for a nice dose of vegetal hops and nice fruity yeast kick at the end. The aftertaste is of bittersweet chocolate and grassy hops. Mostly dry overall.
M_Nice and creamy with a lvoely soft carbonation. A real strong point.
D_A well made brew and one in which I wish I could readily get here in the colonies. Good thing I have three of their other offerings to try.
