Served in a tumbler pint from a cask pour, the beer is an amber brown coloring with a thin, filmy coating on the surface. Aromas of tart ans sweet raspberries with a nut and toffee backbone. Flavors are a bit muddled, with the tart rapsberry character almost clashing with the dark, sweet toffee backbone. Light, smooth body with a sparse lacing. The aftertaste is mostly fruity sweet, leading to a slightly cloying, smooth finish with a slight linger left behind. Interesting idea, but missed the mark a bit.
