Dark reddish-amber color with a very thick white head. Lacing is quality. A premium looking beer!

Smells mostly of caramel malts. Overall scent is not strong at all. Lacks, for the most part, the mustiness I associate with American Oktoberfests. Caramel malt flavor with some dark fruits and then...poof. Finishes dry and flavorless. Weird, ephemeral beer.

Poured a bit like a coke - reddish-brown hue with a fizzy head that disappeared before I put the bottle down. The smell was of pleasant caramel. The mouthfeel was thin and tingly. Gee, sounds more and more like a coke. The taste, however, was definitely not coke. There were sweet caramel and malt flavors, but the hops were well represented, getting stronger in the finish. There was just a slight sour undertone, but not unpleasant. The aftertaste featured a nice lingering bite. Ignore the head and try this one - it's pretty good.
