This place is interresting. If you go to Saguenay, stop there. It's a small place near the shore of a bay. The view is cool.
The food is very good, but a little bit expensive. Went there last week-end, for me and my wife, two plates with one dessert and 2 pint of beer, with tips and taxes, 90$! But the quality have a price!
The beer, the big problem with the beer is they not offer any sampler. They have 6 different beers, I try one bleuberry and good enough. My father in law take the cheap lager and he feel happy with it because he's a Coors Lite drinker! My wife take the belgian style and not so bad not so good. So the beer is just "ok".
Finally, go there for dinner and enjoy the view of the Bay! Walk along the shore after and go somewhere else because there's nothing to do at La Baie!

La Baie is a town on the shores of the Saguenay fjord, a really nice place to visit. The whole Saguenay/Lac St-Jean region is really worth checking out, especially for Beer lovers as this place is really starting to brew, with no less than 3 brewpubs in a ~20 mile radius. Bistro Victoria is the newest of the three, even though it's been open for a long time now, it once specialized in imported Beers, and now brews it's own.
Right near the water, the view is breathtaking, and the patio in front looked inviting but in late April it was a bit too soon for that, so we went inside. The place is split in two, the bar section to the right has a great pub feel to it, lots of knick-knacks and breweryana here and there, the non-smoking section to the left is a recent addition and seems more restaurant-like, but with a big window with a gorgeous view of the fjord.
We were there for lunch, Mel and our local friend went for the pork, I had the salad with big croutons with mimolette cheese, everything was quite good. I've been told that prices are a bit more steep for dinner, our plates were about 10$ and came with a great soup and nice dessert.
Service was friendly and quick, I even got introduced to the brewer who took a few minutes to give us a tour, his installations looked a little cramped but functionnal, but he was already looking to upgrade to meet with demand.
Beers were somewhat dissapointing, I had the pale ale and blueberry Beer, the former lacked character and the latter seemed a bit infected, but I guess those are the growing pains of a relatively new guy on the brewing scene. I would have tasted more, but in this region apparently they don't believe in half pints, and I was driving. Too bad, thay had an Irish and Old ale I would have liked to at least sample. 5 Beers were on tap, the 5th was a blonde I think.
The place is worth the look if you're in the area, the feel of the place is great but quality-wise so far not as good as la Voie Maltée two towns over.
