16 oz can acclimated to 46°F and poured into a tulip glass.
Pours a mostly clear, slightly gold, yellow orange, the color like the flesh of cheap grocery store orange that never got much of its own color or flavor. Produces a 1/2 finger effervescent white head, dissipating quickly and leaving no lacing, like seltzer/soda carbonation.
Initial aroma is peach flesh and skin that I thought was orange for a while. Whiffs of fermented boozy fruit are present, and notes of honey and warmth can be found when smelling closely. After agitating a wall of fuzz and warm smell forms, accompanied by what seems like almost a scorchy hop smell.
Initial taste before swallowing is very tart and slightly fermented fruit, growing slightly in strength, it's dominating. After swallowing the tartness remains, developing a dry bitterness. A surprisingly strong essence of plain bread develops in the latter half, fading a lot in intensity but remaining into the aftertaste. It's not malt or grain, it's like the taste and feeling after eating a piece of squishy white bread. Plenty of fruit essence here but I'm having a hard time getting specifically peach. It may be the tartness but I feel a definite sharpness, partly a crispness.
Mouthfeel is like juice, which isn't surprising. It feels quite heavy somehow. I don't love the overall feeling but the aspect of seemingly extra weight feels very good.
Overall it's good but I can't say I personally love it. There was plenty fruit taste like I said, but I found myself wishing for more peach specifically. I quite enjoyed the bread taste feeling, that was an interesting an pleasant layer. I didn't love the mouthfeel but enjoyed the heavy feeling.
Not likely to buy again but I will try the others in the series that I find, I have the plum and I'm looking forward to trying it.
