A - Light amber and orange color. Large, fluffy white head with decent retention, and a little lacing left.
S - Good amount of citrus and floral smell. A little malt and hint of spices.
T - Decent amount of bread and caramel malts. Well balanced with citrus and floral hops. Some bitterness, but not a lot. A little bit of spice (cinnamon and nutmeg as well as others) but not as much as I expected from a Christmas beer.
M - Medium body with a decent amount of carbonation. Fizzy.
D - Decent drinkability. Well balanced between malts and the citrus/spice.
Notes: Not entirely what I was expecting from a winter warmer that has Christmas in the name, but not bad. A little too thin and not a lot of flavor, but well balanced and the flavors compliment each other.

The beer is light amber/orange in color, has a light beige foam that recedes leaving some lacing in the glass.
The smell is mostly grapefruit and orange and floral notes, not very dominating - but this bottle was a bit cold (abt 7 C).
The taste is very well balanced, some faint sweet notes in the bread area, citric tones giving acid and a nice hoppy bitterness.
It feels very refreshing with a nice carbonation.
Shepherd Neame is claiming to be the oldest brewer in Britain, and they haven't survived brewing bad beer IMHO.

A: This beer pours dark golden with a large white fluffy head. After the dissipation, that takes a while there's lots of lacings.
S: Pine and grapefruit - clearly american floral hops. Then there's english floral hops as well. Malt and spicies are in the smell as well. Citric notes.
T: A dry bready taste: light roasted malt togheter with bitter hops. Very well balanced between the hops and the malt. The taste is more "pure" english" compared to the smell. The fruityness is dominated by oranges.
M: Medium body and carbonation. The aftertaste holds mostly dry bitterness but also some sweetness. The aftertaste is a bit short.
D: What first felt like an different kind of Shepherd Neame ale turned out to be a regular one (and this is in the best way possible). I still havn't had a beer from Shepherd Neame that wasn't great!
