Benelux "Flimzie" blonde d' Abaye
on tap at the brewpub, 4 OCT 2014

Appearance: Crystal clear deep gold body beneath a short lived head of bright white foam. Average lacing.

Aroma: Fruity, malty, yeasty (Belgian phenolics)

Flavor: Follows the aroma. Median bitterness. Alcohol shows somewhat. Balanced. Fruity (berries, cherry). Minimal leafy/grassy hops. Finishes dry with a splash of alcohol.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light in body, gently effervescent.

Overall: Really nicely done. The lacing could be better, and I wonder if that was just due to less than "beer clean" glasses. All of the components fit well together, but are also distinct. Flavorful, and not overdone. You could drink more than one of these in a row. Worth trying.
