Serving: On tap
A:
Pours ruddy orange and clear with a little chill haze and a little puff of beige foam that evaporates to a scummy film. OK retention; lots of sticky lacing. (3.75)
S:
Fresh doughy flowers. Potpourri, earthy hop hints, baking spices, yeasty breadiness. (3.75)
T:
Citrusy dough with fresh yeast richness. Orange, bread, clove, hard water, chamomile that kind of creeps up your nose. (3.75)
M:
Refrehing, crisp, tight carboantion, smooth finish, light-medium body, very drinkable. (4)
O:
Tasty bière de garde.
Pours nice and is beautifully roused by a quick swirl. Taste and smell are both doughy with lots of rich yeast character. Crisp feel and a hoppy little pop in the taste, good and fresh tasting, very quenching, a little too caramel/bread tasting from malt and yeast combo, but otherwise quite solid.
Good but not great. Regardless it is well-made and enjoyable just like almost all of these guys' beers.
Would have again; worth a shot if you go there when it's on tap. (3.75)
