A:
Pours a dehydrated piss brown and gold with a two finger cap of white fluff that ends up a film/ring. Okay retention; touch of lacing. (3.5)
S:
Pine roots, dirt and all. Piney, earthy, diaper, herbal, slightly cirtic, with some toasted biscuit. (3.5)
T:
Suggestion of bitterness. Flat, unobtrusive green flavor with some hard water, cut grass, and bread in the finish. (3.5)
M:
Thin, light, fizzy, little to no finish to speak of, some lingering hop presence. (3.5)
O:
All right as far as session IPAs go.
The beer pours nice enough, but is a little weird-looking (in my opinion). The aroma is piney and dirty. The taste follows suit but with fewer hop characteristics—not that there were tons to begin with. It is this and easily pounded. I admittedly don't quite 'get' session IPAs, but as far as they go this one wasn't bad but wasn't good, either. That said, if you really want to pound hoppy beer all day in the hot sun, you could do worse. Additionally, it might be good for an AAL fan that like hops a little.
Probably wouldn't have again; go get an IPA from Benelux instead... (3.75)
