Nothing like a good RIS after some sightseeing. Benelux's offering is dark brown, almost black in color. Very little head on this one (could have been the pour) and some lacing.

Smells of chewy roasted malts (not sure how they can smell chewy but thats what I wrote), sweetness and a little espresso.

Tastes of bitter roasted malts, mollases and brown sugar. I was rather happy with this one.

Festival Bières et Saveurs 2008. A Serviceable RIS, however there are so many good and great ones out there. I can go and buy a very good one anytime. Roast, medium mouthfeel. Black with mocha head. Strong roast aroma.Sweetness with the roast, coffee. The next serving I donate free to convert a Guiness drinker.

A-Black with ruby highlights and a thin tan head that left behind a lovely thick coating.

S-Light roasty malt and a slight twing of alcohol burn.

T-Burnt roast with nice rich flavours and some boubonesque notes. Nice leather-like astringent aftertaste.

M-Medium-heavy body with a pleasant dry finish

D-Interesting, good flavours throughout with a curious dry finish. I liked it....a good sipper.
