Found in Moscow's biggest discount supermarket, this stubby brown 33cl bottle has a bulged neck and a silver and white label featuring a crowned horseman above the name. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 7/14/06, I opened it on 5/6/06.
Pours a rather unenticing clear yellow gold under a 1/2 finger off-white head that fades too quickly, without mustering any lace. The nose is mild neutral malt, neither sweet nor fruity, nor reminiscent of adjuncts. The mouth is light and fairly prickly. Mild overall taste impression here, both of bready malt in the opening and slightly dry, slightly bitter hops in the finish. There is no discernible aftertaste. An unassuming, unspectacular brew, but solid and quite drinkable.
