As good as I heard it was, enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Pours mahogoney, and initially lots of foamy head that dissipitates to a very thin topping. Lots of lace lines. Aroma only of some chocolate malts. Served too cold, certainly better as it warmed. A bit aggressive carbonation unnecessary. A little nuttiness on a balanced chocolate taste. Good drinker.

Sold to me as 'Dunkel Lager'. I assume it must be the same thing.
Comes with a nice head that laces well atop a deep red-orange beer that is clear. Light bitterneess with bread and sweet caramel on the nose. The body has the same flavours with a greater level of bread within it. Good carbonation and a fantastic beer to sip on.

On tap:
Puts a dark brown lager with orange highlights in my glass...2finger fine pored cap, good lacing.
Demure nose- light wisps of sweet bread dough and roast husk, light mustiness.
Medium body, chewy mouth feel goes sandy dry in the finish.
Nice dollup of roastyness in front, woody noble hop balance, a touch of sweet breadiness, some nuts, vanilla, earthyness, then the finish goes nicely dry and clean.
Flavorful, quenching, drinkable but satisfying...just about all you can ask for in a fresh pub-brewed lager.
