Beautiful amber body topped with a thick, sticky, sculpted head; lots of sticky lacing and rings along the glass. Rich caramel aroma infused with light fruit notes; peaches and pears. Well-balanced blend of malt breadiness and sharp hop bitterness; little to no real alcohol presence noted. Heavy body; crisp and mildly biting on the palate; dry feel overall.
This DIPA is well-balanced and subtly complex. It is quite drinkable even at a nearly 9% ABV as it's its grain bill and hop qualities that make the statement for this beer. Well made and a pleasure to drink.

I like this beer, not as malty as their other IPA’s

My neighbor and I split a 6pck of this. It poured a slightly hazy orangish with white head that left some lacing. The scent had hints of bitter citrus and pine. The taste was bitter leaning and not overly easy to drink. The mouthfeel was fuller in body with good carbonation. Overall it's ok.

12oz bottle, packaged 12/27/2016, served in a snifter glass. Note that I have had the 650ml bottle released at their Dissent Event in 2016, but this review reflects the 12oz bottle.
Pours a darker caramel orange body, two finger offwhite head, good retention, bits of lacing, medium collar. Smell is straight up onions with a sweet caramel and candied sugar presence. Heavy hop resin with underlying grainy bread sweetness. Heavily hopped, I can tell, but it didn't turn out the way it should have. Flavour is even more odd with raw onions, bitter hop resin, minimal grapefruit, heavy bready grainy sweetness, light yeast, earthy. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, heavy grainy bitterness on the finish. I'll have to note that the larger format bottles released at the Impending Dissent event was far less bitter and more grapefruit-forward than the 12oz bottles. This one didn't do it for me, but still a solid double IPA.

Poured 12oz bottle into tulip. Color is hazy dark orange with a nice off white 2 finger white head that leaves lacing all over my glass. Aroma is a bouquet of hops loaded with strong citrus notes and a good amount of ripe tropical fruit. Crystallized honey and caramel malts help to balance. Flavor is heavy with ripe tropical fruit, some melon and citrusy hops that have some bitterness. The sweeter malts come in with caramel and honey. Feel is medium with nice carbonation. Sticky feel that finishes nice and dry. I found this to have a better aroma, but it was tasty.

Aroma is citrus, sugar/mild sweetness and a hint of tropical fruit. The flavor is sweet citrus, fruit, earthy malts and a bitter/hop resin/slightly sweet finish.
