We brewed our flagship Hopalicious with Skyrocket hops (rather than Cascade) for a bright and fruity take on this award winning American Pale Ale. This is the second in a series of small batch twists on Hopalicious for the true beer hunters out there.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a Perfect.

Pours a dark honey with a persistent head that recedes to a one finger cap that laces with stick.

Aroma is sweet, thick malt. Candy sugar and roast. Dates and treacle syrup. Toasty hop aroma comes in toward the end.

Flavor is dusty grain on the front. The grain is followed by a nice hop rider. Most would say way weak but I think it's perfect. Reminds me of a nice English bitter. Beautifully attenuated the hop and malt play together well. Flavors if husky grain, mineral rich water and full tannins. Hops are bitter and quite one layer, which matches well with this beer.

Mouthfeel is lush and well done.

I liked this. It's not a hop bomb at all but it's a well balanced, very nicely crafted beer.

12oz can. Willi becher. Unfiltered golden orange body. Two finger thick frothy white head, a bit too much retention. Rings of lacing. Toasted biscuit, grain, sweet pineapple and a bit of papaya. Caramel. Fairly sweet and grainy, with a decent tropical hop bite. Medium body, again it's a fairly sweet and grainy base beer. Interesting introduction to this series and I like the concept.
