Blacker than a black hole at midnight, this American stout has notes of freshly roasted coffee and dark chocolate with a silky, rich mouth feel.

5 oz pour on tap. This is exactly what a standard American stout should be: dark, roasty, dark/bitter chocolate, and surprisingly complex coffee undertones with a creamy mouthfeel. Delicious.

Poured 12oz can into snifter. Dark coffee brown with a cocoa colored 1.5 finger head. Retention is decent with spotty lacing on my glass. Rich, dark, intense maltiness with both bitter and sweetness aromas, hints of dark chocolate and coffee. Flavors of roasted malts and coffee, bakers chocolate in the middle. Finish is mildly bitter with some caramel sweetness. It is medium bodied, smooth, somewhat creamy with a dry finish. This has good flavor and feel and it reminded me of their old stout, Big Slick.

Stopped in to get the new New England style Ballistic and got this while waiting for my sixer.
Black pour, nearly opaque with a light tan head and some light lacing. Not much aroma...faint malt with light hints of chocolate. Taste is solid with apparent chocolate, light coffee, faint roast and a vague hint of cherry. Mouth feel is smooth & creamy with a nice medium thickness. Doesn't feel super thick but it doesn't feel thin at all. A very solid 7% abv stout that I could easily order again.
