Poured a Crowler into Duvel tulip. Dark obsidian with a thin sand colored head that fades and leaves behind some spotty lacing on my glass. Nose starts with some caramel, vanilla and toffee, then moves into some cherry skin and red wine notes. Dark fruit with hops that are earthy and piney. It is pleasant because of the caramel and toffee flavors mixed with some vanilla and red wine. Medium body with soft carbonation with some warming from the ABV. This ended up being rather complex and I the flavor almost suggests a blend of aging in bourbon and wine barrels.
