Sadly, Ale Asylum is no more.
Kaboom Yo pours a slightly hazy, nectarine color with modest head. Aroma is quite strongly ripe peach and nectarine with a touch of orange. Pine is also present. Taste is moderate in body, very fruit oriented with orange and peach foremost. All profiles fade quickly.

On draft at Ale Asylum. Pint glass. It is a weird mix of sweet caramel, pine resin and sweet mineral haze. Has an interesting mix of west coast and New England. Fairly sweet, mildly yeasty and honestly, takes like the other beers that Ale Asylum makes.

Looks pretty good - hazy golden orange with visible particulate when held to the light.
The aroma starts with fruity hops, then caramel, then an odd earthiness.
Taste follows smell - A pop of citrusy hops up front, immediately followed by caramel and earthy flavors that stick to the back of your palate and don't blend well with the modest bitterness.
Mouthfeel is a bit of an enigma - leads with prickly carbonation, feels oily as it goes down.
Overall, I wouldn't buy this one again, but I wouldn't discourage you from trying it. To me, it came off as an odd blend of old-school dank West Coast and modern New England IPAs. If that sounds like it's up your alley, give it a shot.
