This beer comes in a standard half liter pale green bottle with a fairly non-descript, actually pretty Soviet looking (i.e. stark, with lots of straight lines. Only symbol is a tankard with head on top. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 1/29/04, I opened it on 11/29/03.
Pours a slightly pale clear gold under a thin and bubbly ivory head that settles quickly to something just a bit more substantial than film No lace. Nice flowery nose. The mouth is prickly and light. The taste starts with a bit of barley from the malt, but then the grassy, flowery hops kick in. Not very powerful, but ever present, these hops leave a very nice impression - bitter, crisp and fresh in the finish, while the aftertaste is just bitter enough to make you want the next sip. Good stuff.
