Standard-shaped but very pale brown bottle with Afanasy's trademark label featuring the viking ship. Rice and sugar are present. Bottled on 12/5/03, I opened it on 12/22/03.
Pours a clear gold under a two finger white head that settles quickly but manages to muster a few spots of lace. The nose is mild, with a touch of grain. The mouth is light and prickly. The taste opens with mild barley malt, not much of the rice is noticeable, and no hint of the sugar. The hops kick in immediately, leaving a fresh bitter finish and a nice crisp aftertaste. Another solid effort from Afanasy.
