This is a different beer now. The first version was made with Glacier hops and now this version is made with Palisades I believe. It is called 'one hop wonder' because that is the only hop varietal used in the brewing process.

The Palisades version has more bittering qualities than the Glacier version (I’m talking about the beers not the hop varieties themselves). This is a pretty interesting IPA, definitely a big-time hop presence. I prefer the aromatic qualities of the Point Defiance IPA myself but if you are and IPA fan this is worth a try.

There is a clear difference between the original 'Glacier' one-hop and this 'Palisades' one-hop. In short, more hop character!

Brewed with five hop additions, this alleged IPA has a slight cidery aroma, zero carbonation, and not a shred of head or lace. It is simple, clear amber.

Unfortunately, Harmon really dropped the ball on this fall seasonal. It is green tasting and oddly devoid of even the slightest hop aroma. The 68 IBUs of Glacier hops really don’t shine, making this hard to reconcile as a single hop showcase beer. One Hop Wonder is not a completely disastrous ale, but the body is lifeless and the beer remains conceptually undeveloped. Nothing in the taste or aroma remotely resemble an IPA. It tastes like tired yeasts unable to pull their weight, and the finish is deathly.

Not up to Harmon standards.

This beer pours a hazy yellowish brown with a foamy head. For an IPA there was very little smell it was more like smelling a glass of water with lemon in it then an IPA. What really knocked me for a loop was the taste. This beer has all the character of a tasty IPA but goes down as smooth as an iced tea. There is the distinct hops taste with a spicy aftertaste but it hits you very softly. The feel is smooth and creamy and finishes very clean. If you like your IPAs heavy and strong I wouldn’t recommend this wonder but if you are looking for an easy IPA to drink that still has the IPA flavor this one’s the one you’re looking for.
