Thanks to hopdog for this one....coincidentally, I think I liked this one much more than Steve.
Appears a dark amber with a small white cap that fades out slowly. Spotty bits of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of caramel, herbal hops, with grapefruit, and pine jumping out.
Taste is of bitter herbal hops, earthiness, fruity yeast, and vanilla.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, bitter, with caramel and hops being well balanced. Slightly thin finish.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with riversideAK (thanks!).
Poured a medium and slightly hazy golden/amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of floral fresh hops, citrus rinds, piney and some fruitiness. Tastes of floral hops, pine, citrus, and some lighter caramel. Body on the thinner side.

Beautiful citrus hop aroma, with the single hop being columbus, that's pretty right on. Little hint of crystal malt and fruity fermentation esters underneath the hop aroma.
Nice amber color and very clear. Started with a decent head but it fades quickly to a thin wispy layer that leaves just a hint of lacing.
Flavor right off is a lot maltier than I expected. Lots of caramel and tofee flavors. Don't get me wrong, the hop bitterness is pretty high but I've brewed with Columbus and it can be overbearing. Nice job of keeping it from being a straight hop bomb. Now to the hops, cirtussy and big amounts. Nice citrus flavor part way through too. Aftertaste is again surprisingly malty. Caramelized brown sugar and base malt with a hint of orange peel.
Medium-full bodied but a little light on the carbonation.
I'm really impressed. A single hop IPA that is everything I want in a west coast IPA. High hops, but enough malt for balance. Could be a session beer based on flavor but strong enough to knock you around if you try a long session with it. I really dig it!
