Very dark brown with a small light tan collar that leaves very light, scattered foam.
Smell is pretty strong, chocolate and light roast.
Taste is rather robust, a pleasant surprise for the style, with loads of bakers chocolate, perhaps a hint of lactose as well.
Mouthfeel is pretty smooth, some creaminess to in spite of the low carbonation, with a medium body.
Drinkability is good, this is a tasty, full bodied dry stout. Some might find the chocolate one-dimensional, but I really like it here. Combined with the low ABV, this one is a great winter session ale.
