super aggressive hazy here, intensely bitter, green and vegetal, and unfortunately a bit sweet and under fermented too, just incomplete as a beer, a shot in the dark almost, unfortunate, not intentional, just cant get into it. it smells okay, piney and northwestern and bold, also quite fresh which is a plus, but the taste, especially the back half, is just too harsh to have much appeal, it sits on my tongue for a long time, i keep burping it up, and its out of proportion by what feels like an order of magnitude to me. not really sure what the deal here is, the bartended didnt think they were brewing here anymore, so not sure where its made, it doesnt seem old, but its a miss for me, disjointed, kitchen sinky, and extreme in a way that doesnt work to its benefit. not sure what hops are driving this because it mostly tastes like pellets, simcoe maybe, centennial, its wintery and northwestern. the fermentation, aside from seeming incomplete, is a little off, and this is soapy kind of like their lager was. still some work to do in the brew house here, or wherever this is being made. probably my most unimpressive brewery visit in the region...
